This time last year, I was cutting branches from my parent's olive trees to send to Birmingham, Alabama, for a photo shoot. I really enjoyed these gopher expeditions, and loved taking on the challenge to find the perfect props. In my eyes, it was a treasure hunt that was rewarded when seeing the final pages printed. It's January and I'm finding myself starting a new blog. Treasure hunting days for Anthology Magazine has come to an end, and for months, I've struggled with the idea of starting a blog because of these concerns:
There are so many blogs.
After going through a hundred blogs, I get jaded by what's out there. What I call, the "Blog Bog."
Is what I'm reading real? (Me being jaded and skeptical.)
Am I going to shoe-horn in a post about, say, motor oil so that I can get money and sustain myself?
And here I am. This blog will be approached as a personal challenge to document musings, the projects, the dilemmas, the good, and the bad. And although I didn't stay so up to date on my last blog, I'm going to forgive myself and extend an olive branch to this one. Let's get over the concerns and move on to 2016, shall we?
